Gregor Rein and Stefan Ketteler-Eising will assume the top positions at Schmitz Cargobull Denmark A/S on 1 January 2017

Horstmar 03.11.2016: In accordance with the regulations on succession, Gregor Rein (34) will take over as Managing Director of the Schmitz Schmitz Cargobull Danmark A/S subsidiary, and Stefan Ketteler-Eising (38) will take on the role of Head of Finance and Administration for the Nordic sales region on1 January 2017.

Horstmar, September 2016 – The new LS 3 door locking system is based on a locking system that is not directly visible. The electronic combination lock has endless combination options. The user has the choice between a rolling code (modifiable code, which can be sent to the driver’s mobile phone) and locking/unlocking via the keyboard on the bulkhead.

New joining technology for curtainsider floors

In this new process, the floor plate is joined to the chassis using a special permanently elastic high-performance adhesive. Only six screw connections per floor plate are used as fitting aids, with each plate being fixed at different points.

Flashing side marking lights for active safety when turning

Horstmar, September 2016 – With the flashing side marking lights from Schmitz Cargobull, transport companies already contribute to increasing the road safety of trailers. Transporters that choose flashing side marking lights are now perfectly prepared for the legislation changes which will come into force in November 2017. From this point onward, the law requires side marking lights to be linked with the indicators so that they also flash when the indicator flashes. This changing legislature is based on ECE R 48 section 6.18.7. and is valid throughout Europe.

The DO 18/L-2" model has a galvanised frame and rolls on 385/55 R 22.5 tyres, offering a coupling height of 1,050 – 1,100 mm for LHVs. Due to the rotatable coupling and the use of rigid axles, this represents a simple, low-cost solution for the LHV concept.

July 2016, Horstmar/ Warrington Cheshire - Schmitz Cargobull has appointed Alan Hunt as Managing Director for its UK and Ireland operations.
Hunt (50) joins Schmitz Cargobull after 16 years with Finning CAT where he held a variety of roles, including Defence and Government Manager, Business Unit Manager and more recently Head of Sales for Commercial Marine and Oil & Gas.
