Weight-Optimised High-Precision Axle Units.

The innovative ROTOS®+ axle units from Schmitz Cargobull ensure optimised tracking and driving safety, lower tyre wear and more economical fuel consumption for your box vehicles.

During production we reduce the thermal influences on the axle tubes to a minimum in the interests of maintaining the perfect tracking of our wheels: The axle guides are shrunk on and the axle stubs are friction welded. The optimised shape of the axle tubes and guides substantially increases the stability and reduces the weight of the ROTOS®+ axle unit. The optional light wheel end and the 19.5" brake disc further reduce the unsprung masses.

New spring geometry and lower unsprung masses: The precise suspension and damping improves handling. Precision through minimised temperature influence: Shrunk-on guides and friction-welded axle stubs and the optimised shape of the axle tube for greater vertical rigidity when driving.

Light Wheel End: The Weight-Saving Solution.

The lower freight weights in refrigerated and dry freight logistics mean that conventional wheel carriers and 22.5" disk brakes are generally oversized. The light wheel end with optimised wheel carriers and 19.5" disk brakes avoids unnecessary additional weight without added expenses: The standard rim format remains unchanged.
