March 2019 – Constructing Value – this is the banner under which Schmitz Cargobull AG will be taking part in the bauma 2019 (8th to 14th April 2019 – Hall B4/Stand no. 313) with an S.KI tipper semi-trailer with thermal insulation, an S.KI tipper semi-trailer with new plastic cladding, and an M.KI truck tipper with an electric sliding tarpaulin.
February 2019 – With its award in the category “Commercial vehicle bodies”, Schmitz Cargobull once again demonstrates its leading position in the segment.

production in Berlin, to close the Berlin site and to enter into negotiations on a

January 2019 – Schmitz Cargobull is the first trailer manufacturer in Europe to produce single-piece FERROPLAST side walls for refrigerated box bodies with a total length of 16.80 metres. The full-length side walls are produced at Schmitz Cargobull’s Lithuanian plant in Panevezys.

January 2019 – From today, the S.CF semi-trailer container chassis will complete Schmitz Cargobull’s product portfolio. For customers who specialise in intermodal transport, three variants of the chassis with the GOOSENECK design are available for the optimal and safe transport of containers ranging from 40´ to 45´ in length:
October 2018 – Schmitz Cargobull has extended its portfolio of self-developed refrigeration units by a new electrically driven unit that is manufactured for swap boxes on a user and project-related basis. This operates completely emission-free and is specially designed for use in distribution transport.

Schmitz Cargobull AG’s Romanian subsidiary has appointed Roland W. Schacht to the Board of Management. As the new Managing Director, the experienced automotive manager is now in charge of Schmitz Cargobull operations and sales in Romania, Greece, Cyprus and the Republic of Moldova.
March 2018 - Andreas Klein, Chief Operations Officer since January 2015, is set to leave Schmitz Cargobull AG. The mechanical engineering graduate’s seat on the company's Supervisory Board was terminated by mutual agreement in March 2018.
Horstmar, September 2017 – The first Schmitz Cargobull Suppliers’ Day was held as part of the celebrations for Schmitz Cargobull's 125th anniversary, at which the trailer manufacturer presented awards to its suppliers in five different categories.
Horstmar, July 2017 – Many of Schmitz Cargobull’s more than 1,300 service partners throughout Europe utilise this powerful tool to process repair orders at their workshops. The long-standing service partner Hinners & Richter has now placed the 100,000th order in the Schmitz Cargobull Repair System. Benjamin Hellbusch and Anne Grawe from Schmitz Cargobull Parts & Services congratulated the partner on this special occasion.
Horstmar, July 2017 – The Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG has extended the board member contracts for Andreas Busacker (Finances) and Andreas Klein (Operations) ahead of time by a further five years. Both have served on the company’s Management Board since 2015. “Andreas Busacker and Andreas Klein have both proven themselves to be absolute professionals in their respective fields,” says Prof. Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG. “That is why we are pleased to extend both of the contracts ahead of time and safeguard the long-term continuity within the management.”
The browser-based Schmitz Cargobull Repair System (CRS), developed by the company in-house, acts as a central fleet management portal for customers, workshops and the back office. Schmitz Cargobull Parts & Services already has more than 15,000 service agreements for a wide range of customers across Europe and this number is on the up.
