Schmitz Cargobull and idem telematics: common interface for efficient data management

Hanover, 24.09.2018 --- Schmitz Cargobull and the BPW Group announce a strategic cooperation in the field of telematics at the IAA Commercial Vehicles: In future, data can be exchanged between the "cargofleet3" telematics system of BPW subsidiary idem telematics and the new Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect portal via a common interface.

Schmitz Cargobull AG: Supervisory Board approves investment package

19 September 2018 – Schmitz Cargobull is planning to invest heavily in new capacity improvement measures: “On 18 September 2018, the Supervisory Board approved the first stage of an investment package of €100 million just for the Vreden factory,” reports Andreas Schmitz, Chairman of the Schmitz Cargobull AG Management Board ahead of the IAA in Hanover.

Large yet light
The SKI VOLUME AK tipper trailer offers a lower loading height (-160 mm) and up to 150 kg lower unladen weight whilst still maintaining the same body volume. The tipper trailer will also be available with the Schmitz Cargobull axle from September 2018 onwards.

March 2018 - Andreas Klein, Chief Operations Officer since January 2015, is set to leave Schmitz Cargobull AG. The mechanical engineering graduate’s seat on the company's Supervisory Board was terminated by mutual agreement in March 2018.

Schmitz Cargobull presents the energy-efficient Transformers Trailer

January 2018 – The energy-efficient Transformers Trailer has been proven to reduce CO2 emissions by 15% in comparison with a conventional trailer. The complete project including all corresponding measures on the trailer can even bring about a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to around 25%.
