June 2018 – Schmitz Cargobull will once again be showcasing a wide array of innovations at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show 2018. Schmitz Cargobull’s product and service experts have been working hard for the past two years. Countless new trailer developments and service innovations have been created for the benefit of the customer with the aim of reducing the total cost of ownership. All of the innovations have been developed according to the strictest standards of quality and tested in a practical setting.
May 2018 – The commercial vehicle manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is now using five additional S.CS Universal semi-trailers for its truck training for professional drivers.
April 2018 - Orders from a major customer tend to be both large and regular. Jörg Irsfeld, Head of International Key Account Management at Schmitz Cargobull and Alwin Lürwer, International Key Account Manager at Schmitz Cargobull, handed over the 20,000th and 20,001st semi-trailers to TIP Trailer Service.

Schmitz Cargobull AG’s Romanian subsidiary has appointed Roland W. Schacht to the Board of Management. As the new Managing Director, the experienced automotive manager is now in charge of Schmitz Cargobull operations and sales in Romania, Greece, Cyprus and the Republic of Moldova.
March 2018 - Andreas Klein, Chief Operations Officer since January 2015, is set to leave Schmitz Cargobull AG. The mechanical engineering graduate’s seat on the company's Supervisory Board was terminated by mutual agreement in March 2018.
The Schmitz Cargobull Tipper Days were held for the sixth time at the Competence Plant in Gotha.
On four days of the event, customers and trade press from Germany and the Benelux countries informed themselves about the latest product and service innovations.
January 2018 – The energy-efficient Transformers Trailer has been proven to reduce CO2 emissions by 15% in comparison with a conventional trailer. The complete project including all corresponding measures on the trailer can even bring about a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to around 25%.
