Horstmar, 2 April 2015 – The Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG has confirmed Andreas Busacker as the new CFO. Effective from 1 April 2015, he takes over this function, in the context a gradual generational change, from Ulrich Schümer, who has been in charge of this business division until now alongside his role as Chairman of the Management Board. Ulrich Schümer will retain his chairmanship of the board while also assuming responsibility for the Public Relations, Human Resources, CLH Leasing and Corporate Auditing divisions.

As the new CFO, Andreas Busacker will supervise the Finance and Accounting, General Administration, and Information Systems divisions. "I am looking forward to my new role with Europe's leading trailer manufacturer", comments Andreas Busacker. The financial expert first studied industrial engineering at the TH Darmstadt before completing several study visits in the USA. Between 1991 and 1996 he led the Captial Markets, Risk Management and Investor Relations departments at Wella AG. He then became CFO at Nordenia International AG, which has belonged to Mondi AG since 2012. From 2005 onward, Andreas Busacker was Finance Director with responsibility for departments including Finance, Legal, Tax, Controlling and IT.
He is 49 years old, married, and the father of two children.
