Data. Facts. Information. First-hand corporate communication.
Horstmar, September 2016 – Schmitz Cargobull Telematics looks back on the best business year of its 12-year existence. A 40% growth in sales, more than 25% growth in turnover and a rock-solid result speak for themselves.
In particular, international key accounts were gained as new customers, and the Benelux, Spanish and Italian markets also developed very satisfactorily. Demand for the trailer telematics system has grown stronger in Hungary and Romania too. Eighty percent of all telematics systems sold are installed at the Schmitz Cargobull factory and 20% in the after-sales market. Divided into product lines, 60% are installed on refrigerated container trailers and 40% on curtainsider semi-trailers.
Alongside telematics hardware and services, Schmitz Cargobull Telematics increasingly provides consulting support in data interface management. The company has built up appropriate expertise in consulting for transport and fleet management processes, and is active in both the transport industry and industrial logistics.
Standard equipment with Trailer telematics EXECUTIVE package
Setting an example for other trailer manufacturers, Schmitz Cargobull equips all its proprietary refrigeration units (MonoTemp/MultiTemp) with TrailerConnect hardware and its proprietary electronic temperature recorder at its factory as standard. Additional sensor systems can be easily added to the configuration. This completes the first step for standard fitment of all refrigerated trailers. The next step is the EXECUTIVE package, a comprehensive service package offering substantial customer benefits thanks to proactive monitoring and the Full Service options. Contract lengths can be agreed when ordering.
The customer benefits of one-stop shopping are obvious:
The services are available throughout Europe, with the support of local service consultants in most countries.
Innovative Portal 2.0 – future-safe data management
Schmitz Cargobull Telematics and the T Systems subsidiary, MMS, are currently developing a completely new infrastructure consisting of a new online portal, the latest database structures and efficient operating structures for the telematics centre.
Here the sustainability principles - growth orientation before speed, future-oriented technology before a willingness to compromise, and an integrative solution before individual solutions - are being followed. Once more, Schmitz Cargobull Telematics is therefore giving a clear signal in the direction of sustainability, user friendliness and the highest availability.
The focus of the new portal is on:
Schmitz Cargobull Telematics is constantly developing new services surrounding the trailer
In the development of services, Schmitz Cargobull Telematics always keeps an eye on the operating and service lives of the trailer. In the handling of the daily transport orders, many unforeseeable events can occur that are associated with considerable costs, possibly in damage repair, reassuring customers or protecting one's own equipment.
TrailerConnect enables our customers to get information from a data pool that provides them with advice and alerts at an early stage (proactive service). If these instructions/alerts are followed, the customers can react and take action in a timely manner. Schmitz Cargobull Telematics has more than 100 evaluated applications, with which cost-optimised solutions are available as an experience pool.
