A great honour for Schmitz Cargobull
CEO Andreas Schmitz accepts silver memorial town hall coin from the City of Münster on behalf of the company

18 December 2017 – To mark Schmitz Cargobull Group’s 125th anniversary, the City of Münster has awarded a silver memorial town hall coin to Andreas Schmitz. As well as receiving the coin, the company will also be honoured with an entry into the City of Münster’s “Goldene Buch” (Golden Book).

The coin was presented by Markus Lewe, Mayor of the City of Münster, to the local, family-run company Schmitz Cargobull to mark its 125th anniversary at a ceremony attended by members of the Supervisory Board, Management Board, other company representatives and members of the company’s founding families.

“This honour is not only for the members of the founding families, but also for the employees who have helped to turn Schmitz Cargobull into a globally successful company,” said CEO Andreas Schmitz during the ceremony. “We are one of the biggest employers in the Münster region, and our team of highly qualified local specialists, who want to shape a reliable and innovative future for our company, are among our greatest assets.”
