Tomi Markus Tiittanen Appointed New Managing Director of Sales in Finland

Horstmar, October 2017 – Schmitz Cargobull AG’s Finnish subsidiary has appointed Tomi Markus Tiittanen to the board of directors. As the new managing director, the 43-year-old is now in charge of operations and sales in Finland.

“Tomi Markus Tiittanen is an outstanding expert in the transport and commercial vehicles sector and will enhance our team with his comprehensive knowledge of sales and team building,” says Boris Billich, Chief Sales Officer at Schmitz Cargobull AG. “We are delighted that he has decided to join Schmitz Cargbobull, and are looking forward to working with him to develop our business in Finland.”

Tomi Markus Tiittanen got to know the industry from the ground up. After training to become a mechanic, he then worked as a truck driver. He has also worked as a driving instructor and was in charge of teaching future professional drivers at a vocational college between 2004 and 2007. He completed a BA in Logistics Engineering at the School of Technology at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Rauma.

Between 2007 and 2016, Tiittanen worked for the Volvo Group, taking on a number of different roles. For instance, he was the Business Development & Sales Manager for South-East Asia from 2013 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2016, the qualified logistical engineer was the Trucks Sales Manager for Iraq and Pakistan. His most recent role was at the logistics and inland navigation company Milano Navigli SRL, where he worked as Global Sales Director.
