May 2019 – The “Smart Trailer World” from Schmitz Cargobull keeps on turning. At the “transport logistic 2019” trade fair from 4th-7th June in Munich in hall A6, booth 301/402, the company presents new and enhanced transport solutions for greater fleet efficiency and transparency. 

Michael Grund named Member of the Board for Schmitz Cargobull’s Operations division

The Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG has appointed Michael Grund as the new Member of the Board for Operations.


Trailer manufacturer Schmitz Cargobull has established a new company, Schmitz Cargobull Ireland, in support of the country’s rapidly expanding haulage market, in a move welcomed by Minister of State Damien English TD.

Schmitz Cargobull expands its production capacity for insulated trailers and semi-trailers
New foaming press commissioned at the Lithuanian plant

April 2019 – On 22 March, the new foaming press for the manufacture of the FERROPLAST insulation system was commissioned in an official ceremony at the Lithuanian Schmitz Cargobull plant in Panev?Ĺľys. With the new equipment
the company expands its production capacity from the previous number of 10 insulated trailers to 30 trailers per day.

March 2019 – Constructing Value – this is the  banner under which Schmitz Cargobull AG will be taking part in the bauma 2019 (8th to 14th April 2019 – Hall B4/Stand no. 313) with an S.KI tipper semi-trailer with thermal insulation, an S.KI tipper semi-trailer with new plastic cladding, and an M.KI truck tipper with an electric sliding tarpaulin.

production in Berlin, to close the Berlin site and to enter into negotiations on a

January 2019 – Schmitz Cargobull is the first trailer manufacturer in Europe to produce single-piece FERROPLAST side walls for refrigerated box bodies with a total length of 16.80 metres. The full-length side walls are produced at Schmitz Cargobull’s Lithuanian plant in Panevezys.
