More safety in road traffic
From the 1st September, all newly registered semi-trailers must comply with the new ECE Regulation 58.03 for underride guards.

For more safety in road traffic, the requirements for rear underride guards on commercial vehicles have increased. From the 1st September 2021, all newly registered semi-trailers will be required to have underride protection in accordance with the new ECE Regulation 58.03. Vehicles with underride protection in accordance with ECE Regulation 58.02 will no longer be registered after the 31st August 2021.
This protective device prevents other road users from getting under the vehicle.
