INGENIOS chassis: the new standard for maximum performance
More load capacity with lower dead weight
Compared to the previous standard MODULOS chassis, the floor load capacity has increased from 7.1 to 8.0 tonnes. At the same time, the dead weight has been reduced by around 100 kilograms compared to the previous MEGA chassis. Depending on the application profile, this can transport more cargo per trip and improve efficiency.
The high floor load capacity of the INGENIOS chassis enables the transport of heavy general cargo. At the same time, the robust construction is designed for intensive rear loads and forklift operations up to 12 tonnes and has increased dent protection in the rear area.
Robust construction for long service lives
The newly developed cross-beam concept improves the load absorption of the soil and reduces the number of ground joints. A new longitudinal beam contour with a continuous top chord increases bending stability and reduces chassis deflection. Modern manufacturing processes such as riveting and clinching as well as modular joining techniques ensure a stable and particularly repair-friendly design. Individual components can be replaced quickly and economically if necessary, reducing downtimes due to repairs.
The chassis is fully galvanised and has a ten-year warranty against rust penetration. The corrosion protection contributes to a long service life and supports the value retention of the vehicle.
More load volume and high compatibility with different tractor units
During the development of the INGENIOS chassis, special attention was paid to the optimal use of vehicle height and high vehicle compatibility. The neck height of the MEGA chassis is only 80 millimetres as standard, while the UNIVERSAL chassis has a neck height of 115 millimetres. This means that additional loading volume can be used with a total height of four metres.
In addition, the clearance has been expanded. In the case of the MEGA chassis, it meets the requirements of the ISO 1726-2 standard and can optionally be enlarged by a further 100 millimetres. For the MEGA DB chassis, the increased rotation clearance is available as standard. This increases vehicle compatibility and makes it easier to use with different tractor units.
With INGENIOS, Schmitz Cargobull is expanding its chassis portfolio with a standard solution that combines high load-bearing capacity, robust design, low dead weight, long-term corrosion protection and high ease of repair. The INGENIOS chassis is designed for different transport and loading requirements as well as the combination with different tractor units and drive technologies.
