The new S.BO PACE+ dry cargo box: For cost-efficient parcel logistics with lightweight technology FERROSTRUKT®

New FERROSTRUKT® technology combines high durability with low dead weight – for reduced operating costs in daily use

June 2026 – Schmitz Cargobull presents the S.BO PACE+ dry cargo box, the successor to the S.BO PACE semi-trailer. The new vehicle in the dry freight family, which will be launched in January 2027, has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of parcel and standard dry freight transportation, where high circulation speeds, tight time windows and maximum vehicle availability are crucial.

New FERROSTRUKT® technology as a central element

The core of the body is the FERROSTRUKT® sidewall technology. It combines a steel skin with a honeycomb core, creating a construction that allows for high impact and puncture resistance with a low dead weight. This means that the S.BO PACE+ is specially designed for the typical stresses and strains in parcel logistics, while improving the vehicle's efficiency. The profile panels of the side walls can be individually replaced in the event of damage. This reduces the repair effort and shortens downtime, thus keeping operating costs low in the long term. The roof, which is also designed in profile panel construction, does not require any additional support components, which simplifies repairs. The construction is designed for a long service life and is recyclable. The body is certified according to DIN EN 12642 Code XL (payload 27,000kg).

By using proven components from the modular S.BO dry cargo system, such as the aluminium plank bulkhead and continuous steel connection profiles that connect all body parts, the S.BO PACE+ uses a robust structure with high stability. Aluminium doors or an optional aluminium roller door from Schmitz Cargobull are available for the rear.

Practical load securing for fast handling processes

Load securing in the S.BO PACE+ is simple and designed to meet the requirements of high handling frequencies. Attached load securing rails enable functional and flexible securing of different shipments. The system supports quick handling processes with low operating effort, for a smoother process in daily operation.

The S.BO PACE+ is best suited for parcel logistics companies and operators of standardised dry freight vehicles, where efficiency, ease of use and cost transparency are paramount. By consistently dispensing with superfluous solutions and concentrating on robust, economical core functions, the vehicle offers high operational readiness and calculable operating costs. The S.BO PACE+ offers an economical entry into dry freight logistics and high reliability in intensive use.
