As part of their strategic partnership, Schmitz Cargobull and the Polish manufacturer, GT Trailers, are presenting new vehicle solutions for city logistics and expanding their joint portfolio in the field of truck bodies and trailers.

June 2026 – As part of their strategic partnership, Schmitz Cargobull and the Polish manufacturer, GT Trailers, are presenting new vehicle solutions for city logistics and expanding their joint portfolio in the field of truck bodies and trailers.

Schmitz Cargobull holds 48 per cent of the shares in GT Trailers. The cooperation aims to bundle competencies in design, production and sales and to provide customers with an expanded, tailor-made portfolio for different transport requirements.

Dry freight box body S.BO CITY for efficient urban distribution

With the S.BO CITY, Schmitz Cargobull and GT Trailers offer a robust and economical solution for inner-city dry freight logistics. The box body is based on a durable FERROPLAST® construction in combination with a hot-dip galvanised steel frame and is designed for intensive use in distribution networks.

The compact design, combined with a precise steered axle, enables high manoeuvrability even in confined inner-city conditions. At the same time, equipment such as a high-performance tail lift, a roller shutter and flexible loading options support efficient handling processes and high vehicle utilisation. This makes the S.BO CITY particularly suitable for applications in retail, food and general cargo distribution with high demands on flexibility and process reliability.

Curtainsider semi-trailer S.CS CITY for versatility

With the S.CS CITY, Schmitz Cargobull and GT Trailers are expanding their portfolio to include a curtainsider variant for urban and regional distribution transport. The vehicle concept is designed for fast and flexible loading processes, with a compact, robust design. The combination of a steerable axle, galvanised chassis and variable body options supports the use of the S.CS CITY in complex delivery environments with narrow access roads and frequent stops. The curtainsider concept with lifting roof enables flexible loading from the side and from above, while reinforced floor structures and high forklift axle loads support its use in demanding handling processes. Overall, the S.CS CITY enables the efficient handling of distribution tasks in daily use.
