Schmitz Cargobull showcase efficient and sustainable transport solutions at Solutrans 2023

NEW: Semi-trailer curtainsider S.CS X-TOUGH with robust and durable chassis                                                                              NEW for the French market: S.BO PACE curtainsider semitrailer, especially for the parcel and dry freight segment
October 2023 - Under the motto "Efficient and sustainable transport solutions", Schmitz Cargobull will be represented at this year's Solutrans 2023 trade fair in Lyon with a wide range of vehicles and innovative new service and product solutions. Brand new in the product portfolio and presented to the public for the first time are the curtainsider S.CS X-TOUGH and the dry freight vehicle S.BO PACE.

The robust S.CS X-TOUGH curtainsider semitrailer was specially developed for France and countries with a total weight of 44 tonnes and fits seamlessly into the Schmitz Cargobull chassis range with galvanised and bolted chassis. It has cross beams in the chassis structure, which add strength and robustness. The stability of the chassis is particularly evident with rear loading and high frequency of forklift loading.

The chassis can be combined with various equipment options, such as the slatless POWER CURTAIN or the SPEED CURTAIN quick-opening tarpaulin. Schmitz Cargobull offers a 10-year warranty against rusting through on all galvanised parts in the chassis. Thanks to the galvanisation, the chassis is corrosion-resistant and offers optimum protection against rusting through.

The new dry freight box S.BO PACE will be introduced to the French market for the first time at Solutrans 2023. The vehicle is primarily aimed at transport companies in the parcel and dry freight segment. It is certified according to DIN EN 12642 Code XL and offers a wide range of options, such as load securing rails, a translucent roof, a tail lift and two different door variants, either with a roller shutter or aluminium doors.

The body is made of innovative STRUKTOPLAST panels. Thanks to the lightweight, honeycomb-shaped panels, each trailer weighs around 700 kg less than comparable vehicles in this segment. The trailer can be equipped with numerous load-securing components for securing packages, e.g. package safety tarpaulin, lashing straps, etc. The floor load capacity is 5.4 t as standard and can optionally be increased to 7.1 t or 8.0 t if heavier loads have to be transported.

Innovative products and services at the Schmitz Cargobull stand F 122 in Hall 4

In addition to the two new products, the tried and tested S.KO COOL refrigerated semitrailer and the new S.KI tipper trailer will also be on show at the fair. The S.KO COOL refrigerated semitrailer is equipped with the Schmitz Cargobull S.CU V2MultiTemp transport refrigeration machine and has a partition wall for different temperature ranges. Additional safety is provided by the new TL4 electronic door locking system and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

With the new frame and body generation, the new Schmitz Cargobull S.KI tipper trailer not only impresses with its improved payload capacity of up to 280 kilograms (50 kg chassis, 180 kg body, 50 kg frame), it also impresses with its improved operability and its consistent and reliable product quality. The vehicle exhibited at the fair is equipped with a hydraulic rear wall flap and a sliding roof. The integrated optional onboard weighing system allows the driver to determine and document the vehicle's payload directly at the loading site. For the French market, a special "Limited Edition" will be introduced especially for Solutrans. About 20 S.KI tipper trailers can be ordered directly and are available immediately for interested customers.

In addition to the vehicles on display, the new digital equipment options will also play a decisive role on the Schmitz Cargobull stand F 122 in Hall 4, as these are making an ever-greater contribution to cost efficiency and work safety. All Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers are equipped with the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect® telematics system as standard ex works. Schmitz Cargobull is taking the next step in the digital transformation of the transport and logistics industry and is the first and only trailer OEM to install telematics in non-refrigerated vehicles as standard.
