Greater efficiency in dry freight transport thanks to direct side access

New S.BO OPENSIDER dry freight semi-trailer

The S.BO OPENSIDER dry freight trailer has been developed for transport tasks where quick access to the load, flexible loading and unloading processes, and efficient workflows in daily use are crucial.

With its fully opening side walls, it allows direct access to the goods and ensures greater flexibility during loading and unloading. Goods can be handled more quickly and easily, particularly in urban environments or at locations with restricted rear access.

Particularly for loads that require a lot of space or are difficult to reach, side access significantly simplifies day-to-day operations. Goods can be loaded and unloaded flexibly from the side, even in confined spaces. This speeds up handling and reduces downtime – whilst also improving safety, as it is less often necessary to enter the trailer.

The S.BO OPENSIDER adapts flexibly to different transport requirements. It is designed for use with two- and three-axle tractors and, depending on the configuration, can be fitted with side walls that open on one or both sides.

The Spare Parts Lens app from Schmitz Cargobull speeds up spare parts identification and reduces downtime in everyday workshop operations.

Required components can be easily identified using a smartphone. The app automatically recognises the component and directs you straight to the correct spare part solution in the system. This eliminates the need for time-consuming searches and error-prone matching.

With the S.KO COOL refrigerated semi-trailer and the digital services from TrailerConnect®, Schmitz Cargobull offers an integrated ex-works solution for secure transport in accordance with TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association) standards.

Seamless security thanks to intelligently networked functions

An integrated alarm system reliably protects the cargo from unauthorised access. Sabotage mode detects attempts to tamper with networked components at an early stage. Door contact sensors monitor every opening, whilst the TL4 door locking system ensures secure locking and controlled unlocking. The result: seamless security throughout the entire transport process from a single source.

Full control in real time

Central control is managed via the TrailerConnect® Portal. Security-related components and events are visible in real time, enabling deviations or unplanned stops to be detected quickly and measures to be taken.

Through the comprehensive networking of the trailer, software and all partners involved in the transport process, TrailerConnect® supports the documentation of compliance requirements as well as the organisation and monitoring of secure parking operations. This allows you to track your transport processes transparently and provide evidence of compliance.

Using data intelligently – managing transport efficiently

The TrailerConnect® Data Management Center centrally aggregates data from various sources on a single platform, processes it securely and makes it available as required. In combination with TrailerConnect® TourTrack, this enables tour-based real-time monitoring, including ETA (estimated time of arrival) and automatic reports.
