Greater security for valuable freight

With the TAPA-TSR1* security kit
for Schmitz Cargobull dry freighters

Protecting high-value goods requires robust vehicles, transparent processes and seamless monitoring throughout the entire transport chain.

The S.BO PACE+, S.BO EXPRESS and S.BO MULTI dry freight trailers are designed for the secure transport of high-value goods. The TAPA-TSR1 equipment options*, available ex-works, combine networked security functions and digital services to provide greater transparency and control in day-to-day transport operations. This allows shipments to be monitored at all times and security-related incidents to be traced quickly.

The security package includes, amongst other things, the TL4 electronic door locking system. It enables the rear doors to be opened and closed via geofencing or directly via the TrailerConnect® portal.

The acoustic alarm system with door contact sensors monitors access to the load. A dedicated battery ensures the security components remain operational. All security-related information is centrally monitored and documented in the TrailerConnect® portal.

Events, unplanned stops and deviations remain visible and traceable at all times. Secure parking stops can be planned specifically, and valuable shipments can be monitored throughout their journey. At the same time, the data recorded facilitates compliance with security requirements. The integration of the systems reduces manual work and ensures greater transparency in the supply chain.

The tried-and-tested TAPA-TSR1 security equipment is available both for temperature-controlled transport with the S.KO COOL and for high-quality dry freight transport with the S.BO PACE+, S.BO EXPRESS and S.BO MULTI.

TAPA security is now also available for dry freight semi-trailers with roller shutters: Schmitz Cargobull is the first manufacturer to offer this security concept for this vehicle type. This enables consistent security standards across the fleet, simplifies processes and enhances the protection of high-value cargo.

* TAPA TSR1 (Transported Asset Protection Association – Trucking Security Requirements Level 1) is an internationally recognised security standard for the transport of high-value and theft-prone goods. It defines requirements for vehicles, security technology, processes and monitoring along the transport chain.
