MJ Transport strengthens growth course and modernizes its fleet for greater flexibility and predictability
Cooperative partnership from financing to labelling
The logistics specialist from the Ruhr region has commissioned 50 new S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers from Schmitz Cargobull. For shareholder/managing director Maximilian Jos Sadowski and the company founder Thomas Sadowski, the order is an important strategic step in the professionalisation of the growing company.
From one-man operation to established logistics company
MJ Transport is a one-time regional logistics company that has earned a higher profile in the market through continuous growth and delivering a reliable service. The company was founded by Thomas Sadowski, who, together with his wife Silke Sadowski, built up the business step by step. A successful business takeover gave the company an additional boost. Today, their son, Maximilian Jos Sadowski, continues to run and develop the logistics company.
"In order to further increase the efficiency of internal processes, we have decided to comprehensively modernise our vehicle fleet," says Maximilian Jos Sadowski. "Our fleet includes various semi-trailers for different areas of application, including several S.KO COOL semi-trailers with Schmitz Cargobull S.CU refrigeration units and dry freight S.BO box-body trailers.”
Efficient dispatching thanks to uniform equipment
With the order for 50 new S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers from Schmitz Cargobull, the company is moving towards a uniform, modern fleet. Maximilian Jos Sadowski deliberately gave up most of the company’s older trailers, because having compatible equipment across the vehicle fleet will make scheduling easier and provide more flexibility in daily business.
The new curtainsiders have an EN 12642 XL certified body and a beverage certificate, which makes them suitable for a wide range of applications. A key factor in choosing Schmitz Cargobull was the potential to seamlessly integrate the trailers into the telematics systems of a large transport customer.
Cooperative partnership from financing to labelling
In addition to the technical equipment, the operator worked closely with Schmitz Cargobull on other aspects of the deal. The vehicles were financed by Cargobull Finance, which meant that the entire process could be implemented quickly, efficiently and from a single source. The full-colour lettering of the new vehicles was also implemented in close coordination with Schmitz Cargobull’s Altenberge plant to ensure the fleet is not only efficient, but also visually uniform and professional.
The delivery of the 50 curtainsiders is an example of strong cross-divisional cooperation within Schmitz Cargobull – from sales and production to finance and plant logistics. For MJ Transport, the reliability the trailers will bring will be crucial as it continues its own growth course.
