Nice To Miet!

"Time is a decisive factor in logistics"
NTM Truck & Trailer from Münster started out as a young company with a clear focus on growth in the rental market - and was able to successfully position itself as a strongly customer-orientated rental company with over 40 rental vehicles in a short space of time. A large part of the fleet comes from Schmitz Cargobull. The range is supplemented by customised vehicle solutions - including low-loaders, tippers and moving floors - as well as vehicles that are individually configured and procured according to customer requirements.
Special attention is paid to all aspects of logistics with commercial vehicles - from classic long-distance transport to the last mile. The demand for flexible and compact transport solutions is growing, especially in urban environments. "Many of our customers are not looking for a standard solution - they need quickly available vehicles that suit their business. That's exactly what our sales organisation is geared towards," says Vincent Koel, responsible for sales and customer support at NTM, "the name NTM stands for 'Nice To Miet' (Miet means rent in German) - and that's not just a slogan for us, it's a claim."
"Time is a decisive factor in logistics," says Philip Kriener, who is in charge of everything that has to run smoothly in day-to-day operations at NTM, "Which is why we focus on uncomplicated processes, quick decisions and a rental experience that will be remembered."
With the S.KO CITY from Schmitz Cargobull, NTM is relying on a vehicle for urban refrigerated transport that perfectly matches the requirements of modern city logistics in terms of technology and equipment - and at the same time sends out a clear signal of the close partnership with Schmitz Cargobull. The two-axle refrigerated semi-trailer is ideal for deep-freeze and fresh food transport in suburban areas and city centres. With space for 36 roll containers or 22 Euro pallets and a mechanical forced steering system that ensures maximum manoeuvrability with low tyre wear, the S.KO CITY offers optimum flexibility. The compact dimensions of 9,000 mm in length and an interior height of 2,250 mm make it perfect for use in urban areas. Equipped as standard with the TrailerConnect® trailer telematics system and FERROPLAST® panels, which ensure the best insulation with a k-value from 0.295 W/m²K, the S.KO CITY sets standards in terms of efficiency and sustainability.
NTM had already successfully integrated various city solutions such as city box bodies and city curtainsider semi-trailer into operations together with customers. "We are closely monitoring the increasing requirements in urban transport - together with our customers, we develop suitable concepts to make city logistics reliable, efficient and economical," explains Vincent Koel.
NTM uses TrailerConnect® specifically in live operations - for example in data exchange with large and small customers, who in turn have to provide their clients with seamless documentation of the cold chain - and uses the full potential of the platform to monitor and optimise the fleet. Where desired, NTM also creates interfaces to existing telematics systems on the customer side in order to further improve data integration.
Schmitz Cargobull vehicles are financed via Schmitz Cargobull Finance - a model that creates flexibility and planning security. "We deliberately rely on Schmitz Cargobull's financing expertise, especially for its vehicles - this gives us speed and stability," says Benjamin von Schroetter, who keeps an eye on the financial framework conditions at NTM. "Depending on the project, we also work together with other partners - always tailored to the respective requirements."
The close cooperation with Schmitz Cargobull and the use of modern technologies strengthen NTM's development - especially in the area of urban transport solutions. The combination of innovative vehicle solutions and advanced telematics makes NTM an agile provider in the field of city transport and the last mile. With the new S.KO CITY, NTM is ideally positioned to meet the increasing demands of urban transport and to drive further growth.
