Ready for the requirements of modern and cost-effective transport logistics: Schmitz Cargobull expands its dry freight portfolio with S.BO PACE+ and S.BO MULTI

With its new trailers, S.BO PACE+ and S.BO MULTI, Schmitz Cargobull is providing two tailor-made transport solutions for the requirements of parcel and dry freight logistics

November 2026 – With the launch of the S.BO PACE+ and S.BO MULTI – both of which were presented at the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 – Schmitz Cargobull has once again expanded its dry freight portfolio. The new vehicles are designed for changing transport requirements and cost-efficient parcel logistics. Both vehicles help transport companies to flexibly provide capacity, maintain vehicle availability and reduce operating costs in daily use.

With the S.BO PACE+ and the S.BO MULTI, Schmitz Cargobull is expanding its dry freight portfolio with two vehicles that are tailored to different market requirements. While the S.BO PACE+ was specially developed for the high handling frequencies of parcel and standard dry freight logistics, the S.BO MULTI covers a wide range of transport tasks with changing loads.

The new S.BO PACE+ will be launched on the market from January 2027 and relies on the newly developed FERROSTRUKT® technology. The combination of steel surface layer and honeycomb core combines high impact and puncture resistance with a low dead weight. The sidewall panels can be replaced in the event of damage, simplifying repairs and shortening downtimes. The vehicle is designed for payloads of up to 27,000 kilograms and is particularly suitable for the requirements of CEP service providers and standardised dry freight transport.

Additional transport capacity

The S.BO MULTI was developed for companies that want to handle a wide variety of transport tasks with one vehicle. The integrated double-decker system with keyhole plates creates additional transport capacity and enables the transport of up to 33 additional Euro pallets. At the same time, the interior can be used flexibly for palletised goods, general cargo, hanging clothing, vehicle parts as well as bulky or loose goods. The numerous load securing options support rapid adaptation to changing requirements in daily use.

Both vehicles are based on Schmitz Cargobull’s modular dry freight system and use proven components such as the aluminium bulkhead, robust steel connection profiles and galvanised and bolted chassis constructions. The bodies meet the requirements of DIN EN 12642 Code XL and are designed for a long service life and economical maintenance. Repairs can be carried out with common tools as well as gluing and riveting techniques, which increases the availability of the vehicles.

A common focus of both vehicles is the safety of high-value goods to be transported. Both the S.BO PACE+ and the S.BO MULTI are available in a TAPA TSR1-compatible version. The security package includes electronic door locking systems that can be operated via geofencing or remotely, acoustic alarm systems with door contact sensors, a dedicated battery and corresponding monitoring functions in the TrailerConnect® portal. Schmitz Cargobull is therefore the first manufacturer to offer a TAPA security package for dry freight trailers with roller doors.

With the S.BO PACE+ and the S.BO MULTI, Schmitz Cargobull provides transport and logistics companies with two specialised vehicle solutions that meet the requirements of a dynamic market. Whether it’s high parcel volumes in the CEP sector or changing transport tasks in industry and distribution – the new dry freight trailers create the conditions for higher utilisation, more flexibility and economical use of the fleet.
