Payload optimised and robust

The tipper trailer with new chassis and new rounded steel body is a balanced design between weight optimisation, robustness and durability. The weight saving of up to 280kg* ensures higher payload and economy.

*Reference vehicle S.KI SOLID with LIGHT frame 7.2 with floor 5 SW 4 mm overlying rear wall flap.

Optimised frame construction

Due to the optimised frame design, the corrosion protection for painted frames has been significantly improved. Schmitz Cargobull offers a 10-year warranty against rust-through on galvanised frames.

Universal solution for road construction

The thermal insulation ensures an excellent insulating effect and high value stability. As standard, the trough has a four-point temperature measurement through lateral openings. Optional: preparation of an electronic measuring system. The innovative insulating material of the thermal insulation is particularly light and reduces the net weight of the S.KI SOLID with thermal insulation compared to the predecessor model for more payload.

Everything in view

Optionally, there are the camera systems for rear compartment and/or load compartment monitoring. The rear camera offers full visibility behind the vehicle. The body camera offers reliable loading and unloading control.

More transport safety

Tipper trailers for bulk material and asphalt transport are equipped with a new pneumatic underride guard for sensing the driving and unloading position.  The new underride guard improves flexibility, increases work safety and reduces damage during tipping. The driver can see the position of the underride guard in the rearview mirror through a rear LED indicator. The underride guard can be operated from the cab for increased safety.

Digital onboard-weighing system

The onboard-weighing system allows the driver to determine and document the vehicle's payload at the loading site. There is no need to drive to a stationary check weigher, which saves fuel and time and reduces CO2 emissions. Operation is intuitive and can be carried out via the screen or the beSmart app. The loading data can be called up for the driver directly after the weighing process. With Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect® telematics, the data is transferred to the portal for further processing.

Numerous attachments for every purpose make everyday transport easier. The ergonomic operability and the quality of the attachments have been improved and more combination options have been created. 

Lighting

Various lighting options ensure the best possible traffic and work safety. All rear lights in high lamp position as standard.

New system length for higher payload and profitability

In addition to the system lengths 9.6 and 10.5, a shorter chassis with system length 8.2 joins the product range of cranked chassis frames for tippers with aluminium box bodies.

For certain applications, the customer can now use a shorter chassis that achieves the same volume as a chassis in system length 9.6. The cranked S.KI in system length 8.2 is significantly lighter than its big brother and thus offers a clear payload advantage with the same volume.

Optimised driving stability

Compared to standard chassis frames, cranked chassis frames have a lower overall centre of gravity and a reduced overall height. The reduced overall height ensures that the vehicle's centre of gravity has been lowered. This increases driving stability and ensures better road holding when cornering. It also increases stability during tipping.

Frictionless unloading

Affected and worn trough surfaces make unloading more time-consuming, more costly and, not least, more dangerous, as the load only really starts to slide at extreme tipping angles. A plastic trough lining ensures that the load slides off the loading surface more quickly and without any significant residue. The OKULEN® lining prevents the bulk material from sticking to the trough floor and optimises the tipping process.

New body generation also for the M.KI  

Schmitz Cargobull offers the perfectly fitting M.KI body with a volume of 16 to 23 m³ for the 4-axle motor vehicle. The basis for the motor vehicle bodies is the proven steel round body made of highly wear- and bulge-resistant steel, similar to the tipper trailer S.KI.

Individual for your use 

Thanks to the flexible modular system, the number of variants has been increased. In addition to the already known lengths of 5.5m and 5.8m, a vehicle with a length of 5.2m is now available, so that motor vehicles with a shorter wheelbase or longer cab can also be built.

Agile on the road

The thermo-insulated body with a capacity of 18 cubic metres is optimally designed for transporting smaller quantities of asphalt. Due to the thermo-insulation, the vehicle has only a slight additional weight of approx. 195kg. Due to the smaller body, the vehicle has better manoeuvrability, which is an advantage especially in narrow traffic areas such as on construction sites. 

 

More payload, easy handling

The optimised Z.KI centre-axle tipping trailer is the ideal partner on tight construction sites. Equipped with 900mm-high steel side walls, the loading volume is around ten cubic metres. The central axle ensures easy manoeuvring in tight spaces and reduces fuel costs. Thanks to the revised design, the total weight has been reduced by 50kg compared to the previous model. This means more payload and economy.

Twice as safe

The optional lifting spring mechanism on the steel drop sides of the centre-axle tippers ensures safe and easy operation of the drop sides.

Lashing eyes integrated in the floor enable the load securing of general cargo.
