MODULOS short chassis for the S.KO box body semi-trailer

MODULOS chassis

The FERROPLAST^® thermal technology box body is self-supporting and warp-resistant. Thanks to their bolted connections, the individual components of the MODULOS trailer chassis can be easily replaced. Corrosion protection is maintained by the galvanised parts.

ROTOS

Outstanding riding characteristics thanks to the standard MRH air suspension (Multi-Ride-Height). The innovative ventilation system generates less heat and the brake pads last longer.

Axle lift for better traction

Liftable axle

ROTOS running gears can be optionally equipped with an axle lift function. The axle lift and the starting aid increase efficiency, driving safety and traction and reduce tire wear.

The Load Spread Program relieves pressure on the rear axle

Load Spread Program

If the semi-trailer is partially unloaded, the centre of gravity shifts and the fifth-wheel loading becomes heavier. The Load Spread Programme (LSP) takes pressure off the rear axle, compensating for the shift of the centre of gravity.

Side door

A good alternative to partial loads with multi-temperature transport with a partition. The side door enables the trailer to be partially unloaded and provides access to individual MultiTemp chilled zones.

Double-decker system

Flexible and higher utilisation of the trailer's capacity, thanks to its double-decker system. Ideal for freight that cannot be stacked. The system provides for gap-free loading using two infinitely height-adjustable split levels.

The roof and side walls of the FERROPLAST^® body are specially reinforced. The Euro meat hanging system is available for meat transport.

Higher loading volume for even greater flexibility when transporting goods, due to the adapted side wall thickness. Ideal loading width and optimised interior width of 2,490 mm, particularly for horticultural transport.

Insulated roller shutter for the S.KO box body semi-trailer

Roller shutter

The insulated roller shutter ensures that there is no more lost time or lost refrigeration, as the trailer can be opened once it has reached the ramp.

Dynamic Ramp Protection

The system protects the body when the trailer reverses up to a ramp. At the same time, stainless steel roller bumpers compensate for the trailer's change of height when it is approached by a forklift.

Reversing camera

A reversing camera assists the driver when reversing. Whether docking to ramps, manoeuvring within a confined space or in narrow streets, visibility to the rear provides greater safety and avoids damage.

Scuff plates protect the floor and side walls from wear

Scuff rail

The scuff rail welded to the floor protects the side walls from damage. Insulation quality is unaffected, as there are no screw or rivet joints.

Fast unloading even without a ramp with a tail lift for the S.KO box body semi-trailer

Tail lift

Thanks to its tail lift, loading and unloading is easy even without a ramp. The tail lift enables the trailer to be directly loaded and unloaded.

Floor

Multifunctional floor

Compared to conventional floors, the floor is considerably more durable, non-slip and at the same time lighter. Vertical locking beams can be inserted directly into the recessed load securing profiles. Now even quieter loading and unloading thanks to PIEK-certified multifunctional floor.

The MonoTemp and MultiTemp versions of the S.CU cooling unit delivers optimum cost-effectiveness. Precise temperature management, thanks to sensitive control, low fuel consumption and long maintenance intervals.

Efficient cooling, due to optimised air distribution. Three flexible cooling ducts provide for the required distribution of cold air. If partition walls are used, several temperature zones can be produced without additional handling.

Variable strip curtains, which can be moved lengthwise, guarantee enhanced goods safety while reducing fuel use, as less cooled air is lost through open doors with partial loads.

With the Schmitz Cargobull temperature printer you can quickly and easily create a paper printout of the certified temperature values directly on the vehicle.
The printout can be configured using the free beSmart App. This is a simple and convenient way of setting and changing, for example, the printing period or the language of the printout.

The temperature printer is an optional feature of the Smart Trailer.
